Recipe of the Week: Crock Pot Apple Oatmeal

Steel Cut Oats in the Crock Pot

Ingredients: 

  • 2 cups of steel cut oats
  • 6-8 cups of water, depends on the thickness you like
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon at least of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon at least of vanilla
  • 1 apple cut into pieces

 

  1. Add all ingredients together in an oven safe bowl and place in crock pot.  Add water to crock pot so the water surrounds the bowl.  (OR follow your crock pot’s directions using the insert)
  2. Cook on low over night (6-8 hours).
  3. Stir and Enjoy in the morning.
