Our Client of the Month (CotM) for November 2014 is none-other than Carl Pieper, of EMPOWER Durham! We had a chance to sit down with Carl to ask him about his training at EMPOWER. Carl, being the magnificent person he is, decided to respond in an equally magnificent way: A ballad. A ballad appropriately titled: “November Stallion“.
Carl was only a man,
A man who wanted a change of plan.
Noting his increase in years,
He decided to face a few of his fears.
Weight gain and deconditioning,
Were things that he didn’t want.
They started diminishing,
When he began his EMPOWER stunt.
Chris Lathrop, the trainer on hand,
Started Carl with the exercise band.
“My flexibility is fantastic”
said Carl, being sarcastic.
Sarcasm. That’s one of the things Chris likes about Carl
But stretching sometimes leaves Carl with a snarl
The CotM’s diligence sets him apart,
At every session, you will see him dart
Around the room to continue his exercise,
If you look, you’ll see it with your own eyes.
Carl and Chris have worked out,
Many days and nights,
Which makes Carl want to shout with delight.
For now Carl has lost 20lbs in weight,
And is beginning to enjoy his improved shape.
He enjoys hard workouts for a long duration,
Even those programmed with many a tough station.
His goal to be better conditioned,
Was very easily submissioned.
For it wasn’t one mile that Carl completed,
But Five, in the Bull City, were defeated.
As he continues his EMPOWER journey,
Carl hopes more calories to burn..y?
“Client of the month!” EMPOWER chanted,
When Mr. Pieper was being granted
With the highest honor for the month of November
A small metal gift he will always remember
For that metal gift is a CotM Medallion
That reads, Carl Pieper: November Stallion.
