With a strong background in movement and exercise science, Julia has evolved from a lifelong dancer to a passionate personal trainer. She enjoys helping others discover the benefits of strength training while fostering both physical and mental well-being.
Julia began her fitness journey as a dancer, using lifting as a tool for cross-training. This sparked a deep love for strength training, leading her to pursue certifications and a career in personal training. She earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with a Minor in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University.
She currently works at Duke as a Fitness Specialist, where she applies her expertise to help individuals reach their fitness goals in a supportive and science-backed environment. Julia holds national certifications in personal training and exercise physiology. She believes in a client-centered approach, prioritizing individual goals and an overall sense of well-being.
When she’s not coaching, she enjoys exploring new training techniques, learning about movement science, and inspiring others to find joy in exercise.
