Hopefully most of you have met Ben, one of our newest trainers here at Empower. If you have not however, we are happy to announce that he is now offering 1 on 1 Health Coaching sessions for all of our members!
As a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach as well as a licensed CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Ben is very excited to offer guidance, support, and accountability. If you are struggling with how to make appropriate diet, lifestyle, and habit changes necessary to keep you on track with your weight loss, pain management, and overall health goals, Ben is here to help!
The goal of these sessions is to identify what areas/systems of your body may be under the most stress which will be assessed through specific questionnaires. They will also help hone in on finding the right kind of foods to help you feel satiated between meals, fully energized, and to best aid in the recovery process between your workouts with your trainer.
During these 1 hour sessions, you and Ben will discuss what your greatest pain points and areas of struggle are, whether that be chronic fatigue, sleep issues, digestive distress, joint pain, or anything else that may be interfering with your progress in the gym. You will then co-create a game plan with incremental, realistic action items to slowly move you forward without overwhelming you. You may be surprised to see how much of a role things like sleep, diet, hydration, and mindfulness practices play in seemingly unrelated issues such as knee pain, muscle soreness, tendonitis, etc.
If improving your overall health is why you joined us, then it’s important to remember that what you do outside the gym is just as, if not more important, than the 1-3 hours a week you spend inside the gym if you really want to see noticeable results.
