Hey Empower Family,
As personal trainers and fitness professionals, we get asked all the time:
“What’s the best workout routine to get (and stay) fit?”
Truth is… there’s no one-size-fits-all magic formula (sorry, I wish there was!). Everybody is different, every schedule is different, and sometimes—especially around the holidays—our best intentions get derailed by real life.
But here’s the good news: you don’t have to be perfect to make progress. You just need the right building blocks—and a little motivation.
👬 1,000,000 Steps as a Team

Let’s move together and hit 1,000,000 steps as a team this November!
Every step counts—whether you’re walking the dog, shopping for groceries, or dancing in your kitchen. You’ll get:
✅ Motivation to stay active through the holidays
✅ A fun way to stay accountable
✅ A reason to lace up and get outside (or on the treadmill)
How to Join:
Watch the Empower team total grow all month long—and help us crush that 1,000,000-step goal together!
- Download the StepUp App – HERE
- Connect the app to your smart watch if you wear one
- Wait for invitation to join Team Empower (I will send it out at the end of October)

💪 ❤️🙂 Stronger, Healthier, Happier

Here’s what a strong, healthy week of movement generally looks like:
💓 Cardiovascular health: Walk, jog, run, swim, play tennis—whatever gets your heart rate up for about 45 minutes, 3x per week.
🏋️ Strength training: Lift heavy weights (like really heavy—the kind of weight you can only lift 4–6 times) twice a week. Then add another session that’s a bit lighter or more functional.
🧘♀️ Mobility: Stretch, take yoga, or strength train through a full range of motion as much as possible each week. Your joints (and future self) will thank you.
🚶♂️ General movement: Stand up and move your body consistently throughout the day. Set reminders to get up and move—or better yet, count your steps!
That’s the blueprint. But sometimes… well, life happens. Maybe your kid’s soccer game runs late, your boss schedules a last-minute meeting, or your client Karin makes a graham cracker crust apple pie and you “accidentally” eat half of it (true story? – maybe).
Here’s to stronger hearts, healthier bodies, and a whole lot of movement! 💥
Keep moving,
Jess and The Empower Personalized Fitness Team
