Hey Empower Family,
As personal trainers and fitness professionals, we get asked all the time:
âWhatâs the best workout routine to get (and stay) fit?â
Truth is⌠thereâs no one-size-fits-all magic formula (sorry, I wish there was!). Everybody is different, every schedule is different, and sometimesâespecially around the holidaysâour best intentions get derailed by real life.
But hereâs the good news: you donât have to be perfect to make progress. You just need the right building blocksâand a little motivation.
đŹ 1,000,000 Steps as a Team

Letâs move together and hit 1,000,000 steps as a team this November!
Every step countsâwhether youâre walking the dog, shopping for groceries, or dancing in your kitchen. Youâll get:
â
Motivation to stay active through the holidays
â
A fun way to stay accountable
â
A reason to lace up and get outside (or on the treadmill)

đŞ â¤ď¸đ Stronger, Healthier, Happier

Hereâs what a strong, healthy week of movement generally looks like:
đ Cardiovascular health: Walk, jog, run, swim, play tennisâwhatever gets your heart rate up for about 45 minutes, 3x per week.
đď¸ Strength training: Lift heavy weights (like really heavyâthe kind of weight you can only lift 4â6 times) twice a week. Then add another session thatâs a bit lighter or more functional.
đ§ââď¸ Mobility: Stretch, take yoga, or strength train through a full range of motion as much as possible each week. Your joints (and future self) will thank you.
đśââď¸ General movement: Stand up and move your body consistently throughout the day. Set reminders to get up and moveâor better yet, count your steps!
Thatâs the blueprint. But sometimes⌠well, life happens. Maybe your kidâs soccer game runs late, your boss schedules a last-minute meeting, or your client Karin makes a graham cracker crust apple pie and you âaccidentallyâ eat half of it (true story? – maybe).
Hereâs to stronger hearts, healthier bodies, and a whole lot of movement! đĽ
Keep moving,
Jess and The Empower Personalized Fitness Team
