EAT Your Way to Better Health and Fitness Part 3: Dessert

Ok Folks, for those of you have read my previous 2 posts about the importance of EATing as a path to better health and fitness, I know you are anxious to find out what the T is all about.
First let’s recap what we know about EATing so far; Establish a SMART goal, make sure it is Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time bound. Assess your situation, know your obstacles, know your allies, and set benchmarks to track your progress.
Finally, now let’s talk about the last, and possibly most critical component of EAT; (drum roll please).
Train. We’re not talking about train as in “choo-choo”, more like Train as in practice before an event. A goal is something that you work towards, it’s not something that just happens.
The good news is that the heavy lifting has already been done, now you just have to implement the plan. Keep your eyes on the goal, work towards each benchmark, and seek out support while avoiding obstacles. Remember that it is ok to fall off the wagon, it is ok to mess up, but you have to pick yourself up and keep going. This goal is important to you, it is attainable, and you will be successful.
Reaching a SMART goal is simple, but definitely not easy. I hope that I have given you some helpful tools to increase your confidence and provide the framework for reaching whatever goals and aspirations you seek to attain.
