Private personal training is ideal for those with a specific fitness goal, rehabilitating from injury, training for a sport or event, or simply improving overall physical and mental health. Our personalized and custom approach to your fitness is far from a big-box gym and different from most personal training you might find elsewhere in Durham, Raleigh or the Triangle. You’ll receive unparalleled personal attention – with a trainer who will motivate you, monitor your progress and make adjustments along the way – in a clean, inviting studio with an extended Empower community to support your needs and goals. And with small group personal training, focused group classes, and other wellness services you have the flexibility to add to and/or spice up your fitness plan all within our studio!

We take the words personal and training seriously at Empower. Everything we do is personalized to your needs: each routine builds on your previous workout, forming a foundation for your training program and ensuring that you’re ready to move to the next level. Our professional staff of trainers all hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field and maintain certification/licensure through nationally accredited organizations. Not only are they knowledgeable, our trainers are passionate and connected to their Durham area personal training clients. It’s not unusual for them to text, call or email a client to check in during the week, offer support, and discuss future sessions. Our trainers also work together, so if you have a specific need or goal that is better suited to another trainer at Empower, they are happy to refer you.

Private personal training is offered in 30 or 60-minute sessions. You can pay by the session or purchase packages ranging from 5-60 sessions for your convenience. While we do not require a membership or tie our clients into long-term contracts, we do offer a variety of annual commitment packages and membership options to suit nearly any need.
