Chris has been focusing on health and wellness for the aging population since he began participating in the HOPE (Helping Older Participants Exercise) program when he was in college. Over the years he has developed an expertise focused on helping those with physical limitations and age related disease. From orthopedic degeneration to diabetes and Parkinson’s Chris has a wide array of experience working with clients in this field. He has a passion for helping people improve mental and physical function as they age and has successfully helped numerous clients feel more youthful, reduce their symptoms, and live a more fulfilled life.
Chris earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2010 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he majored in Kinesiology with a concentration in Fitness Leadership. Chris is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Chris joined the Empower team in 2011.
In his free time Chris Loves exploring the outdoors through hiking and Mountain biking. When he’s not on the trails he enjoys cooking, reading about history, and watching sports.
