1.Keep/improve movement to continue to be able to play like I do now.
2.Burn calories so I can eat how I want.
3. Maintain strength
Workout in the gym wise. If I have the time I try to do something every day sometimes I get 5 sometimes I get 2. I don’t beat myself up over missing days.
Weekends I do something active with sports or the kids. Hikes, shoot baskets in the cul-de-sac, play softball or go to the park and hit baseballs.
How I train:
Keep moving in multiple directions. (we don’t move like we used to because we don’t move like we used to)
I am not big into rest or max lifting I like to keep moving and getting a good sweat in. I don’t use benches at all or the floor very much since we don’t ever physically perform lying flat on our backs. Never had to play tennis in a supine position. Will do a little bit of cardio but mostly I pick 4-5 exercises and circuit through them with a minute or 2 of jump roping short rest and repeat the circuit 3-6 times. Workouts are never more then 1 hour.
