Training for a 5K can be a lot of fun whether you are a beginner or an advanced runner. Thereís something invigorating about setting a goal and challenging yourself to reach your fitness potential. If you are beginning runner you may set a goal of just finishing the race. However more advanced runners can compete with their previous times and set a goal of setting a PR (personal record).
Empower Personal Training is starting a ìZero to 5Kî training program geared towards helping new runners tackle their first 5K and helping advanced runners achieve their PR in a local 5K. Join us as we train for the 4th annual Highcroft Hurricanes race in Cary on May 16, 2009.
The ìZero to 5Kî training program starts on March 10 and includes a 10-week personalized training program, two weekly group runs, and a lecture series on various topics pertinent to training and racing. Please call the studio at (919) 401-8024 to learn more about this exciting running club. Also you can register online at http://tinyurl.com/empowerrunning. Join us and challenge yourself to reach your fitness potential this spring.
